Kyrylo Budanov

In an interview that aired on Wednesday, Ukraine’s top military intelligence official issued a warning that Russian President Vladimir Putin should prepare for additional attacks inside his country in the coming year.

In an interview with News Chanel, Kyrylo Budanov, the chief of military intelligence for Ukraine, stated that there will be strikes “deeper and deeper” within Russia. However, he did not specify if Ukraine would be responsible for the upcoming attacks.

His warning comes just a few weeks after explosions rocked Russia’s Engels air base and Dyagilevo base in the Ryazan region, widely attributed to Ukraine by Russia and others. Budanov acknowledged that he was “glad to see” Engels’s attack, despite the fact that Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for it.
