issues warrants against Russian President

The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued warrants for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday (17).

Alleging that children from the Russian-controlled areas of Ukraine have been illegally taken to Russia.

But Russia denies these allegations, saying that they took the children to Russia for the humanitarian purpose of protecting unaccompanied children.

The United Nations has indicated that more than 16,000 children from Ukraine have been illegally taken to Russia since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
