China imposes restrictions on tourists from South Korea and Japan.
The granting of short-term visas to visitors from South Korea and Japan has been halted by China. According to reports in media, China made this move in response to South Korea and Japan’s coordinated attempt to put limitations on Chinese tourists due to the spread of the Corona virus.
Accordingly, the Chinese embassy and consulate in South Korea have suspended the issuance of short-term visas for South Koreans.
China stated that compared to the removal of the restrictions imposed by South Korea on Chinese nationals, they will also make visa issuance a reality. The Chinese embassy in Tokyo, Japan has also banned the issuance of short-term visas to Japanese nationals, but has not given a specific reason.
